Applecross, Bealach na Ba - Scotland

Basking in a winter light the legendary ‘Bealach’ rises to over 2,000 feet and is one of the highest roads in Scotland. This image was captured by the side of the old drovers road. The composition happened quiet naturally with the moss covered rocks in the foreground mimicking the vast lumps of rock and scree in the background. Remoteness and desolation in plenty and one of my favourite images.. now classed a ‘vintage’ photograph… captured in 1988.
This image featured as a 5’ x 4’ mural print in my joint exhibition with Ansel Adams.
