The Collectors Series of prints by Lindsay Robertson are created on Chrystal Archive Paper. An affordable open collection of the most popular images captured from his Scottish Portfolio. All prints are sized at 16"x12" (image area 14"x12" depending on crop) are initialed and supplied flat (not rolled in a tube!). Each print costs £ 75.00 inc P&P worldwide. C-Type Photographic Prints - are an affordable alternative to the hand made Fine Art Silver Gelatin Prints created by Lindsay. The paper used is a premium quality colour paper which can still render black and white images, however the black and white image is a combination of printing through colour filters, therefore a true black and white cannot be reproduced. The emulsion is a complex matrix of colour dyes and couplers within a plastic paper base which is processed in conventional colour processing machines. The cost of this paper combined with its ease of use, makes it a significantly more affordable alternative to Silver Gelatin printing. The archival properties of this paper are at least half that of Silver Gelatin Prints. Silver Gelatin Photographic Prints - were introduced around 1870 and still set the optimum standard for quality, permanence and clarity. The ability of the print to reveal deep rich blacks and crisp whites with a superior smooth tonal range is its beauty. They are true Black and White Prints. The paper is produced by Ilford, now the only company in the world still producing black and white paper. The term Silver Print refers to the Silver content within the Gelatin Emulsion which coats the surface of the fibre based paper. This emulsion utilises light sensitive Silver halides. The Prints tonal range and depth lies in its Silver Rich Emulsion. The more silver in the emulsion the greater the tonal range. Using a precious metal contributes to the additional cost of this paper. Developing a Silver Gelatin Print is a long process. The print can take hours to process, all the exhibition prints receive a further step in the process Selenium Toning. This process increases the Archival Permanance of the finished print. Photographic Prints are proven to last over 150 years, without fading if kept properly, unlike inkjet pigment based printing. A Silver Gelatin Print is created using time served traditional printing techniques and technology. They are the ultimate in quality. Hand crafted and unique - making them not only an object of desire but also an object of art. Prices start at £ 350.00.
